Delta Air Lines to Launch Flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane

Delta Air Lines has announced its newest international route. Starting on December 4, Delta will operate nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane. The seasonal route will run three times weekly until March 8, 2025, using Delta's Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

By adding Brisbane to its winter schedule, Delta will have up to 17 weekly flights to the South Pacific, making it the largest winter schedule in the region in the airline's history. This new route offers passengers convenient access to various tourism opportunities, including art galleries, food markets, the world's largest koala sanctuary, and the nearby Gold Coast. Additionally, passengers traveling on Delta can connect to over 40 destinations through a connection at Los Angeles International Airport.

Additional Options for Passengers Traveling to Brisbane

Prior to United Airlines introducing flights in October 2022, no US carrier flew to Brisbane. United launched year-round flights from San Francisco and later added a second route from Los Angeles. However, United recently discontinued one of its Brisbane routes. Despite this, United still maintains the largest network of any American carrier between Australia and the US.

With the recent announcements by American Airlines and Delta, Brisbane will benefit from additional services to North America. American Airlines will begin daily flights from Dallas Fort Worth to Brisbane starting on October 26. These flights will be operated on brand-new Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring the new Flagship Suite seats. The seats will gradually be introduced on American's long-haul fleet from 2024.

Expanding Air Travel Options for Brisbane

Brisbane, Australia's third-largest city, currently has limited connections to North America, with flights only available to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. The introduction of new routes by Delta and American Airlines will provide passengers with more options for traveling to Brisbane from major US hubs. This increased air travel connectivity will further enhance tourism and business opportunities for both regions.
