Disney World Raises Ticket Prices for 2025
Disney World has announced an increase in ticket prices for 2025, marking the first increase since 2022. The price hikes will vary depending on the date and park visited. However, guests staying at Disney resort hotels in 2025 will receive complimentary admission to one of Disney's water parks on their check-in day. There are also other ways to save money at Disney World, such as taking advantage of hotel discounts and vacation packages.
Disney World Ticket Prices on the Rise Again
Disney World has historically increased ticket prices about once a year. However, the last increase occurred in 2022. Since then, there have been changes in pricing for annual passes and theme park parking. Now, Disney World ticket prices are set to rise again in 2025. The increases will not affect 2022 visits but will impact those planning a trip in 2025.
The exact price increase in 2025 will depend on the dates of the visit. Disney has implemented variable pricing in recent years, with prices fluctuating based on when and which park(s) guests visit. For example, the lowest one-day ticket price currently starts at $109 for Disney's Animal Kingdom on select dates in August and September 2024. In 2025, this price will increase to $119, a $10 difference.
Ticket Prices Vary by Date and Park
The price increases will affect one-day tickets for specific dates and parks. For instance, a one-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom on the first Sunday in May 2024 costs $174. However, in May 2025, guests will pay $179, representing a $5 increase. The ticket price hikes also apply to multi-day and Park Hopper tickets, which enable guests to visit multiple parks in one day. A three-day ticket with the Park Hopper option for October 2024 costs $529.20, but for the same weekend in 2025, guests will have to pay $570.87, an increase of approximately $42.
While many one-day ticket prices will remain the same in 2025, it's important to note that the high-end ticket price for one-day, one-park-per-day stays will not change from $189 in 2024. This price is typically for the Magic Kingdom during the busy holiday season. However, the pricing for November and December 2025 has not been released yet.
New Perk for Hotel Guests
To offset the increased ticket prices, Disney recently announced a new perk for guests staying at Disney resort hotels in 2025. On their check-in day, these guests will receive complimentary admission to one of Disney's water parks. This benefit can significantly reduce the need for an additional park ticket on the first day of the vacation, potentially offsetting some of the pricing increases.
In addition to this perk, there are other ways for visitors to save money at Disney World. One option is to take advantage of regular discounts offered by Disney on hotel stays and vacation packages. These discounts can often save guests up to 35% on their hotel stay or include a free Disney dining plan. While the discounts for 2025 have not been released yet, guests can still book their trips in advance and apply any eligible discounts when they become available.
