Carter Hart has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the Philadelphia Flyers for personal reasons.

Hart Granted Leave of Absence

Carter Hart has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the Philadelphia Flyers. The 25-year-old goalie made this decision for personal reasons.

General manager Daniel Briere stated that the club will not be providing any further comment at this time.

Hart's Performance and Replacement

Hart currently has a record of 12-9-3 with a 2.80 goals-against average, .906 save percentage, and one shutout in 26 games played this season. Since January 10th, he has been alternating starts with Samuel Ersson.

In his most recent game on January 20th, Hart made 10 saves on 15 shots before being replaced by Ersson in the third period of a 7-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Flyers' Plans and Hart's Stats

In response to Hart's absence, the Flyers have recalled goalie Cal Petersen from the American Hockey League. The team will be facing the Tampa Bay Lightning today.

Hart's career statistics include a record of 96-93-29 with a 2.94 goals-against average, .906 save percentage, and six shutouts in 227 regular-season games. He was chosen by the Flyers in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
