Why Share Your Experience?
More voices, better journalism. The questionnaire you are reading is just one tool we use to help ensure our work reflects the world we cover. By inviting readers to share their experiences, we get a wide range of views that often lead to a more deeply reported article. We make every effort to contact you before publishing any part of your submission, and your information is secure.
Here’s more on how it works and why it’s good for us and you.
The Changing Landscape of Alcohol Consumption
Dry January is trickling to a close, marking the end of a month when many people rethink their relationship with drinking. Even beyond January, though, there’s a clear shift underway in how we talk about alcohol. Concepts like 'mindful drinking' have taken hold; zero-proof mocktails and sober bars are becoming more common. But at the same time, rates of excessive drinking have risen in the wake of the pandemic. One study found that binge drinking reached a historic high in 2022 among people ages 35 to 50.
We want to hear about whether your relationship with alcohol has changed — or stayed the same, and why. Fill out the form below, and a reporter may be in touch.
