A Sporty Look with Top-End Specs

Honor recently announced its partnership with Porsche Design, and now we get to see the first product resulting from this collaboration. The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is a special edition version of the Magic V2 with a sportier aesthetic.

While the hardware of the Magic V2 RSR remains the same as the regular Magic V2, it only comes in the top trim with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. However, the exterior design is where it truly shines. The Porsche Design V2 RSR comes in the iconic Porsche Agate Grey color and features Porsche's signature "Flyline", which is the sloping roofline that gives the design an aggressive and sporty look.

The rear design of the Magic V2 RSR resembles that of a sports car. Even when the phone is still, it gives off the impression of speed and movement. The camera island on the back features titanium alloy lettering, just like the regular model. Additionally, Honor claims that the phone has a "Sports car fiberglass body", although the specific details of this material are unclear.

Impressive Specifications and Features

Despite its sporty exterior, the Honor Magic V2 RSR remains lightweight, weighing just 234g. This is thanks to the use of a magnesium alloy frame and a titanium alloy hinge mechanism, which are the same materials used in the regular V2 model.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and features two screens. The cover display is a 6.43-inch 1080p 120Hz LTPO OLED panel, while the inner display is a larger 7.92-inch 2156x2344px 120Hz LTPO OLED panel. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging.

In terms of the camera system, the Magic V2 RSR boasts a triple camera setup. It includes a 50MP f/1.9 main camera, a 20MP f/2.4 2.5x zoom camera, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide shooter with autofocus. The cover screen also houses a 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design will be available for purchase in China starting from January 12. It is priced at CNY 15,999 (€2,050/$2,250/£1,770/INR 190,000), which is a reasonable price considering the high-end specs and storage capacity it offers.
