In Arlington, Virginia, a house exploded while police were trying to execute a search warrant, according to authorities.

The Arlington County Police Department received a report of someone firing a flare gun multiple times from inside the house into the neighborhood, prompting police to respond to the scene. Efforts to establish contact with the suspect, who had barricaded themselves inside, were unsuccessful.
