iFixit Reveals Active Resolution of Apple Vision Pro
iFixit's Vision Pro teardown exposes the secrets of EyeSight and provides insights into the active resolution of Apple Vision Pro.
Apple Vision Pro Teardown Sheds Light on EyeSight
In a recent teardown, iFixit delved into the intricate design of Apple Vision Pro, uncovering the secrets of EyeSight along the way.
The teardown revealed fascinating details about the headset and its functionality, providing valuable insights into its inner workings.
Active Resolution of Apple Vision Pro Explored
iFixit continued their investigation by using a digital microscope to estimate the active resolution of the OLED microdisplays in Apple Vision Pro.
They discovered that while the headset boasts a near-4K physical resolution, some pixels along the edges remain permanently off, resulting in a lower active resolution within the lit area.
Impressive Pixel Density and Overall Resolution
During their analysis, iFixit found that each pixel in the Apple Vision Pro measures just 7.5μm, equivalent to the size of a human red blood cell.
This means that 54 Vision Pro pixels can fit within the space occupied by a single pixel of an iPhone 15 Pro Max, showcasing the headset's exceptional pixel density.
Furthermore, after measuring the lit area, iFixit determined that the active resolution of Apple Vision Pro is approximately 3660×3200 per eye, even considering the cut-off corners.
