Jake Gyllenhaal Stars in 'Road House' Remake

A New Take on a Classic Film

The first official trailer for Prime Video's 'Road House' is here, showcasing a modern take on the beloved 1989 film. In this remake, the story is moved from Missouri to Florida, with Jake Gyllenhaal taking on the lead role of Edward Dalton. Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter, finds himself in charge of keeping the rowdy clientele of a Florida Keys roadhouse under control.

The trailer introduces Gyllenhaal's Dalton as someone who may seem harmless at first, but quickly reveals his true nature as a formidable force. One character in the clip remarks, "He acts all nice and shit, like he's Mister Rogers or something. But then he beats the living shit out of you."

Another exciting addition to the cast is real-life ex-UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who plays one of Dalton's main opponents in the film. Dalton and McGregor's character are on opposite sides, with Dalton determined to safeguard the roadhouse and its owner, while McGregor's character aims to help take control of it.
