Jimin and Jungkook were the last members of BTS to enlist for the mandatory military training. They started service on December 12 and their entrance ceremony was a private affair with their families in attendance.

A day after the enlistment, Jimin’s father, Mr Park, took to social media to update fans of the popular K-pop idol. Sharing a picture from his military enlistment on his cafe’s official Instagram account, his father wrote, “Hello, I'm ZM-illennial I sent my son well. Your support gave Jimin a lot of strength. I heartily thank you.” Currently serving in the Army, J-Hope and Suga took time off to see off Jimin and Jungkook. Mr Park owns a café, MAGNATE, which has turned into a hotspot for ARMYs when they visit Jimin’s hometown Busan.

Confirming the military enlistment, Big Hit had said in a statement, “We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook until they complete their military service and return. Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time.” After serving nearly 18 months, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are expected to be discharged from duty by June 2025. Suga, J-Hope and Jin have been serving since a while now.
