Meet Marvel's First Family

Marvel has finally assembled the cast for the highly anticipated Fantastic Four film. Fans were treated to the exciting news on Valentine's Day through a social media post. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn have been confirmed as the members of the Fantastic Four.

Although rumors of Pedro Pascal's involvement started circulating in November 2023, details about the film were kept tightly under wraps. Alongside Pascal, Vanessa Kirby will be taking on the role of Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman. Joseph Quinn will portray Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach will bring Ben Grimm, the Thing, to life on the big screen.

Directed by Matt Shakman, who previously directed all episodes of Marvel's WandaVision, Fantastic Four is set to begin filming in the summer. This project marks Shakman's second feature film and his first in a decade. Marvel fans are eager to see what he will bring to the beloved superhero team.

Release Date and Upcoming Films

Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, exactly a decade after the previous Fantastic Four reboot in 2015. To accommodate the new release, the Thunderbolts film has been moved up to May 2025. Marvel's other theatrical releases, Captain America: Brave New World and Blade, are set for February 2025 and November 2025, respectively.

The timing of Fantastic Four's release adds to the anticipation surrounding the film. The 2015 reboot was critically panned, leaving audiences with low expectations. However, with the talented cast and the direction of Matt Shakman, hopes are high for a successful revival of the Fantastic Four franchise.

An Improved Fantastic Four

The previous Fantastic Four film received harsh reviews, with Rolling Stone describing it as a soul-crushing and coma-inducing origin story. For the upcoming Fantastic Four, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer have written the screenplay, aiming to bring an improved and captivating experience for fans.

As the first characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics, the Fantastic Four hold a special place in the hearts of fans. With the new cast, talented director, and experienced screenplay writers, Marvel enthusiasts are hopeful for a fantastic and faithful adaptation of the beloved superhero team.
