I (18F) am really close with my sister (14), who’s in the ninth grade. She recently expressed interest in reading The Hate U Give, a book that I enjoyed when I was around her age, and have reread multiple times since then. I want her to read this book, because I think it brings up some incredibly relevant social issues, and it’s super well-written overall.
