New Leadership Structure Announced by IQM
IQM has announced a co-CEO leadership management structure with Jan Goetz responsible for external relations and fundraising.
Jan Goetz and Mikko Välimäki Assume Co-CEO Roles at IQM
IQM, a leading quantum computing company, has announced a new co-CEO leadership structure. Jan Goetz, who previously served as the sole CEO of IQM, will now be responsible for external relations and fundraising. Goetz is a co-founder of IQM and has been instrumental in the company's development since its inception in 2018.
Mikko Välimäki, a member of IQM's Board of Directors since 2018, has taken on the role of co-CEO with responsibility for commercial operations. Välimäki brings extensive experience in the technology industry, having founded, led, and served on the boards of several technology companies in Finland. He holds a PhD in software business from Aalto University and a Master's in law from the University of Helsinki.
Pasqal Appoints Wasiq Bokhari as Chairman of the Board
Pasqal, a leading quantum computing company, has announced the appointment of Wasiq Bokhari as the Chairman of the Board. Bokhari has been serving as an advisor to the company since September 2023 and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining Pasqal, he held senior positions at Amazon, Google, Draper Nexus Venture Partners, and several startup companies.
At Amazon, Bokhari was part of the team that initiated the AWS quantum computing efforts. He holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics and a Ph.D. degree in Physics from MIT, and he was involved in the discovery of the top quark at Fermilab. In his new role, Bokhari will focus on the company's business strategy and drive interest in Pasqal's neutral atom technology.
Quantonation Partner Joins Diraq's Board of Directors
Diraq, a quantum technology company, has announced that Quantonation partner Will Zeng will be joining its Board of Directors. Dr. Zeng has extensive experience in quantum technology and previously served as the Head of Quantum Research at Goldman Sachs. He is also the Founder and President of the Unitary Fund, a non-profit organization supporting the development of the quantum technology ecosystem.
Prior to his role at Goldman Sachs, Dr. Zeng was an early team member at Rigetti Computing, where he held the position of Head of Product. His appointment to Diraq's Board of Directors is part of the company's recent A-2 round funding of $15 million.
Simon Segars Appointed Chairman of Silicon Quantum Computing's Board
Silicon Quantum Computing has announced the appointment of Simon Segars as the Chairman of its Board of Directors. Segars brings over 30 years of experience from his tenure at ARM, where he held various senior positions, including President and CEO. Throughout his career, Segars has advised and served on the boards of numerous corporations and industry associations.
Additionally, Silicon Quantum Computing welcomed Fiona Pak-Poy to its Board as the Australian Government's Shareholder Nominee Board Director. Pak-Poy has extensive board-level experience and currently serves as the Non-Executive Director at WiseTech Global and Chair at Tyro Payments, among other roles in Australia.
