Kyrgios Withdraws from 2024 Australian Open

Nick Kyrgios has officially ruled himself out from playing the 2024 Australian Open, but the controversial tennis star will be there in a different form – as a commentator.

The 28-year-old crowdpleaser and 2022 Wimbledon finalist was missing from the tournament’s entry list on Wednesday night, but Australian Open boss Craig Tiley hinted the Canberra-born wild child would be at the event in 'some form'.

Kyrgios Announces Withdrawal on OnlyFans

Now Kyrgios, who received a mixed response to his commentary debut on the Tennis Channel last month, has used his new OnlyFans platform to announce his withdrawal.

In a video message, Kyrgios stated, 'I won’t be able to compete at the 2024 Australian Open. But even though I won’t be there competing this year at the AO, I still will be around, commentating matches.'

Injuries Plaguing Kyrgios' Career

Kyrgios, who won the Australian Open doubles title in 2022, has been battling injuries and has struggled to maintain his ranking. He missed multiple tournaments in 2023 due to knee and wrist injuries.

His recent decision to withdraw from the 2024 Australian Open is a result of his ongoing recovery and the need for more time to get back to playing at the top of his game.
