Passenger Falls from Air Canada Aircraft

A passenger aboard an Air Canada flight opened a cabin door and fell approximately 20 feet to the ground, causing a delay in the flight. According to Canadian television network Global News, the incident occurred on Monday night. The unnamed male passenger boarded the aircraft normally but instead of going to his seat, he opened a cabin door and fell. He suffered injuries from the fall and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The flight, which was supposed to carry 319 passengers from Toronto to Dubai, was delayed for nearly six hours as a result of the incident.

Investigation Reveals Passenger in a State of Crisis

Peel Regional Police conducted an investigation into the incident and determined that the unnamed passenger was in a state of crisis when he opened the cabin door. Air Canada did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the matter. However, a representative for the airline stated that all approved boarding and cabin operating procedures were followed and that they continue to review the incident. This incident follows another emergency situation involving Air Canada last week, where a 16-year-old passenger attacked a family member, leading to a flight diversion.
