Passenger's Disturbing Behavior

According to an affidavit filed on Tuesday, a Frontier Airlines passenger engaged in disturbing behavior during a flight. The 60-year-old passenger, Dulce Huertas, pulled down her pants and threatened to kill fellow travelers. She now faces charges of simple assault, interference with a flight crew, and indecent exposure.

The incident occurred on a flight from Orlando to Philadelphia last November. Huertas had consumed two alcoholic drinks during the flight. When the plane was about to land, she stood up and yelled at a flight attendant, refusing to sit back down. She was angry because she needed to use the bathroom but was not allowed to do so at that moment.

The Confrontation Continues

As the plane taxied to the gate, Huertas began cursing at other passengers. A flight attendant called security due to her disruptive behavior. After the seatbelt sign was turned off, Huertas tried to push past flight attendants to reach the front of the plane. However, she was stopped from using the bathroom as the main cabin door was still being opened.

At that point, according to the affidavit, Huertas apologized to everyone and proceeded to pull down her pants and underwear, as if she was about to urinate in the aisle. Although she did not actually urinate, she then cursed at passengers once again before pulling her pants back up.

Legal Consequences

The disturbing incident was captured on video, which was shared by a local news outlet. Huertas also physically confronted a flight attendant by using her belly to bump into them. The court document stated that she continued to threaten and curse at multiple passengers.

If Huertas is found guilty, she could face severe consequences. The charges against her carry a maximum sentence of 21 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $355,000. Frontier Airlines declined to comment on the incident.
