Recall of Quaker Oats Products

The granola bar section of grocery stores across the country may be noticeably empty as the Quaker Oats Company has recalled more than 40 varieties of granola bars, snacks, and cereals. The recall was issued due to the potential presence of Salmonella in the products. Salmonella can cause severe illness and even death.

The affected products include 26 types of Quaker Chewy granola bars, eight varieties of Quaker cold granola cereals, and 10 snack boxes that may contain Frito-Lay products. The recall extends to Quaker products sold in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan.

Despite the recall, there have been no confirmed reports of illness related to the affected products. However, consumers are urged to check their pantries for any of the recalled items and dispose of them.

Identifying Recalled Quaker Granola Products

The FDA's recall announcement provides a comprehensive list of the potentially contaminated products. The list includes various package sizes and configurations, and it also contains specific UPC codes, Best Before Dates, and photos for each product.

To determine if your Quaker granola product is part of the recall, you can visit the FDA's Quaker Granola Recalled Products page and refer to the provided information. It is important to check all possible package configurations to ensure no recalled products remain in your pantry.

If you discover that you have any of the recalled Quaker granola products, it is recommended to dispose of them immediately.
