In a trade on Wednesday, the Columbus Blue Jackets traded forward Eric Robinson to the Buffalo Sabres.
In return, the Blue Jackets received a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Robinson, who is 28 years old, has played seven NHL games this season and has scored one goal.
He has also recorded four points (one goal, three assists) in nine games with the Cleveland of the AHL.
Robinson is currently in the last season of his two-year contract with Columbus and will become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
Robinson's Career and Stats
Last season, Robinson played a career-high 72 games for the Blue Jackets, where he recorded 24 points with 12 goals and 12 assists.
He was signed by Columbus as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has accumulated a total of 82 points (38 goals, 44 assists) in 266 regular-season games.
In addition, Robinson has scored one goal in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
His performance on the ice has led to this trade to the Sabres.
Sabres and Blue Jackets' Next Games
The Buffalo Sabres, with a current record of 10-14-2, are currently seventh in the Atlantic Division.
They will be facing the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Thursday.
To make room for Robinson on the roster, the Sabres assigned forward Brandon Biro to Rochester of the AHL.
On the other hand, the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are last in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 8-14-5, will be visiting the New York Islanders on Thursday.
