Cause of Death
According to O'Neal's death certificate, he died of congestive heart failure, with the underlying cause being cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle. No other cause was listed. The actor had been in ill health for some time, having been diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012 and chronic leukemia in 2001.
Despite his health issues, O'Neal left a lasting impact on the film industry during his career. He gained significant recognition for his performances in the 1970s, with films like Paper Moon, where he starred alongside his daughter Tatum.
