Samsung Adds Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 to Self-Repair Program

Samsung has expanded its Self-Repair program to include the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, offering users more convenience and the chance to extend the life of their devices.

Samsung's Self-Repair Program Now Includes Foldable Phones and Laptops

Samsung has added its foldable Galaxy phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, to its Self-Repair program for the first time. This program allows users in South Korea and Europe to repair their phones at home and offers genuine parts to extend the lifespan of their devices. Samsung plans to add more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and Galaxy Book 2 Pro series, to the program by the end of the month.

The Self-Repair program was first launched in the US in 2022, with the Galaxy S22 series being the first devices to be available for repair. It has since expanded to other markets, and now Samsung is expanding its availability to 30 additional European countries. This program offers users more choice and convenience when it comes to repairing their devices.

Benefits of the Self-Repair Program

With the Self-Repair program, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 users can repair their phones at home, eliminating the need to visit a service center. The program provides genuine parts for repair, including the back glass, charging port, loudspeaker, screen, side key, SIM tray, and volume key. For laptops, replacement components like the battery, display, fan, front and rear case, power key (with fingerprint reader), rubber feet, speakers, and trackpad are available.

By offering this Self-Repair program, Samsung aims to extend the lifespan of its devices and reduce electronic waste. Users have the option to keep the repair tools that come with the Self-Repair kit when they request access to it.

Future Expansion of the Self-Repair Program

Samsung plans to continue expanding its Self-Repair program and add more devices to it. By the end of this month, the company intends to include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and Galaxy Book 2 Pro series in the program.
