Samsung commits to bringing Galaxy AI to 100 million devices
Samsung has confirmed that its generative AI service, Galaxy AI, will be available on about 100 million Galaxy mobile devices globally in 2024. This announcement comes after the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which features Galaxy AI powered by Google Cloud. The service will also be extended to older Galaxy models in the first half of 2024.
TM Roh, President and Head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics, revealed that the brand is committed to providing free access to Galaxy AI until 2025, despite the costs involved in its development. However, the company has not yet decided whether users will have to pay for advanced AI capabilities beyond that point.
