New York Rangers (18-5-1)

The New York Rangers retain their spot as the No. 1 team in the Super 16 power rankings, narrowly edging out the Boston Bruins. With a record of 18-5-1, the Rangers have earned 195 voting points, just one point ahead of the Bruins. Four out of the thirteen voters ranked the Rangers as No. 1, with seven voters giving them a No. 2 ranking.

A major factor in the Rangers' success has been the chemistry developed between Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafrenière. Panarin leads the team with 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists), while Lafrenière has contributed 16 points (eight goals, eight assists). However, the Rangers are still searching for a right wing to play alongside Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider.

Overall, the Rangers have impressed with their performance this season, but there is still room for improvement in certain areas of their lineup.

Boston Bruins (17-4-3)

The Boston Bruins are hot on the heels of the Rangers in the power rankings, coming in at No. 2 with 194 voting points. Despite being ranked No. 1 by five voters, the Bruins fell just short of claiming the top spot. Their penalty kill has been a standout feature, leading the league with an 89.0 percent success rate.

On the downside, defenseman Hampus Lindholm has not performed up to his previous season's standards. With only six points in 24 games, compared to 53 points in 80 games last season, Lindholm has taken a step back in terms of his offensive production.

Although the Bruins have some areas to address, they remain a strong contender in the rankings.

Los Angeles Kings (15-4-3)

The Los Angeles Kings hold steady at No. 3 in the power rankings with a record of 15-4-3. Their exceptional performance on the road has been a major factor in their success this season, tying an NHL record with their 10th straight win away from home. However, they have struggled to replicate the same level of success in their home games.

The Kings' strong road performances bode well for their overall season, as they look to balance out their win-loss ratio at home. With a solid roster and a knack for winning on the road, the Kings remain a dominant force in the NHL.
