Rob Gronkowski's Prediction

During an appearance on 'Fox & Friends' Friday, former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski discussed the NFC Championship game, where the Detroit Lions will be vying for their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.

Gronkowski stated, 'Everyone loves the Detroit Lions, and it would be just a cool story to see them win, but I think the San Francisco 49ers, they just have too much firepower on their roster.' He praised the 49ers' complete offense and defense, as well as the exceptional performance of Christian McCaffery.

Gronkowski ultimately predicted that the San Francisco 49ers would come out on top in the NFC Championship game.

Detroit Lions' Underdog Status

The Detroit Lions are entering the NFC Championship game as the underdogs, despite their historic run this season. The last time the Lions made it to the Championship game was in 1991, and a win on Sunday would mark their first road playoff victory since 1957.

When asked about the star power comparison between the Lions and the 49ers, Detroit quarterback Jared Goff expressed confidence in his team's abilities. He acknowledged that the 49ers have several talented players, but emphasized that the Lions also have a roster full of great players.

The Lions have had a successful season, with five Pro Bowl selections and five players receiving All-Pro honors. Goff highlighted their standout performers, offensive tackle Penei Sewell and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who were named to the first team.
