Taylor Swift's Alleged Role in Kanye West's Removal from Super Bowl LVIII
Find out how Taylor Swift reportedly had Kanye West kicked out of the Super Bowl.
A Longstanding Rivalry
The feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West dates back to September 13, 2009, when West infamously interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. Swift was receiving the Best Female Video award for her song "You Belong With Me." West grabbed the microphone and declared that Beyoncé's video for "Single Ladies" was one of the best of all time. The incident caused a stir and led to tension between the two celebrities.
Over a decade later, it appears that the rivalry is still ongoing.
While Swift was in attendance at Super Bowl LVIII to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, it seems that West had plans to be there as well.
Taylor Swift Gets Kanye West Booted
According to former NFL star Brandon Marshall, Swift allegedly played a role in having West removed from the stadium during the Super Bowl. Marshall shared on the "I Am Athlete" podcast that West had purchased a ticket in front of Swift's booth, but Swift became upset and made a few calls to have him kicked out.
Marshall suggests that Swift used her celebrity status to ensure West's removal from the event. This incident seems to be a continuation of the tension between the two musicians.
Kanye West's Response
Kanye West has referenced the VMAs incident in his music, including in his hit song "Famous" released in 2016. In the song, West rapped, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b---- famous." The song received a Grammy nomination.
It remains to be seen how this latest incident will affect the ongoing feud between Swift and West. Both artists have had successful careers and continue to make headlines for their music and personal lives.
