TeamLab Borderless finds a new home in Tokyo

TeamLab Borderless, the popular interactive light museum in Tokyo, is relocating from Odaiba to Azabudai in Tokyo. The museum, known for its jaw-dropping displays and interactive artworks, opened in 2018 and quickly became a top tourist attraction. However, the Odaiba location was never permanent, and the museum closed its doors in August 2022. Now, TeamLab has announced that Borderless will be reopening in Azabudai Hills in Minato Ward, featuring a collection of art with no boundaries.

The original TeamLab Borderless was a collaboration between TeamLab and Mori Building, and both companies are joining forces again for this new iteration. The museum will showcase works from the original museum, as well as new exhibits that have never been seen before. Visitors can expect to be immersed in a world without boundaries, as they explore interactive light displays that move seamlessly from one room to another, interacting and communicating with each other along the way.

Tickets and opening details

The new TeamLab Borderless exhibition at Azabudai Hills will open on February 9, 2024. Tickets will be available for purchase on the teamLab Borderless official website from January 16, 2024. The museum's opening hours and ticket prices are yet to be announced but will be posted on the website in the coming weeks.
