Theresa Nist's journey on 'Golden Bachelor' started on her birthday and it will come to an end with her wedding to Gerry Turner, which will be aired live on ABC. The wedding date also happens to be Theresa's daughter's birthday.
"I can't believe it's on her birthday, because it started on my birthday," says Theresa. "We're both on the fourth of the month; what are the chances?"
Theresa and Gerry found love through reality TV, defying the odds of the dating show. Theresa stepped out of the limo wearing a nude bodysuit on the first night, and from there, their relationship blossomed.
Family Helped with Wedding Planning
Gerry and Theresa have had only a few weeks to plan their wedding, but their families, especially Theresa's daughter Jen, have been a great help in making decisions and providing support.
"I can't say enough about how wonderful she's been," Theresa praises her daughter's involvement in the planning process. "It's been a family event."
Many loved ones will also be giving speeches at the wedding, and Gerry and Theresa have decided not to vet them beforehand, choosing to embrace the element of surprise.

The couple describes the wedding ceremony as elegant but not stuffy, with a light and airy aesthetic made up of pale colors of pinks and peaches. The ceremony will be officiated by former 'Golden Bachelor' contestant Susan Noles, and Theresa picked the music personally.
For the reception, Gerry and Theresa have chosen a wide array of flowers and are planning to have a choreographed first dance. Gerry, known for his sweet tooth, took charge of the food choices, including selecting two cakes.
After the celebrations, the couple plans to take a mini-moon and then decide on their next steps, which may include trips, looking for a new home, and exploring various locations to settle down.
