Guthrie's Comments on Dressing Room Remodeling

Guthrie humorously stated that the Today show dressing rooms are in need of an Extreme Makeover. She acknowledged that the studio is historic and iconic but old, with chipping paint on the walls. However, she emphasized that the warm reception from the show's hosts is what really matters to the guests.

She mentioned that they try their best to accommodate everyone and expressed gratitude for the viewers who tune in to the show.

The Drama Surrounding Kelly Rowland's Dressing Room

The dressing room controversy began when reports surfaced about Rowland's dissatisfaction with the dressing room provided to her for her guest co-hosting duties on the Today show. Rowland allegedly walked off the set due to this issue.

However, Hoda Kotb, who was supposed to co-host with Rowland, expressed support and offered to share her own dressing room with the singer if she returned.

Guthrie's Appreciation for Today Show Colleagues

During the launch of her book, Mostly What God Does, Guthrie credited her Today show colleagues, Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb, for inspiring and encouraging her to write. She described Hager as knowledgeable about the business and someone who provided valuable insights. Kotb acted as a cheerleader, pushing Guthrie to continue writing and believing in her capabilities.

Guthrie expressed gratitude for the support she received from her colleagues, including her husband and kids, and emphasized the importance of having such people in one's life.

She mentioned that her book primarily focuses on spreading the message of love and reassurance to readers.
