Sneaker Con Slammed as Trump Announces Surprise Appearance

The roll out of the new sneakers faced criticism, including from President Joe Biden’s campaign. Michael Tyler, the Biden and Harris 2024 Communications Director, stated, 'Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life.' In addition to the sneakers, 45Footwear is also launching Trump branded fragrance, Victory 47 Cologne and Victory 47 Perfume.

Earlier in the day, the former president’s appearance at Sneaker Con was met with backlash on social media, resulting in the event disabling comments on some platforms. Sneaker Con defended their decision to let Trump speak, explaining that their mission is to support and promote sneaker culture. Trump's appearance at Sneaker Con was met with loud booing from the audience.

Trump Ordered to Pay $354 Million in New York Civil Fraud Trial

Following his appearance at Sneaker Con, it was announced that a judge had ordered Trump to pay $354 million in his New York civil fraud trial. Trump is expected to appeal the decision, which includes a three-year ban on seeking loans from financial institutions in New York and a prohibition on serving as an officer or director of any corporation in the state.

Despite the legal setback, Trump is scheduled to speak at another rally in Michigan later on the same day.
