Owlchemy Labs' Popular 'Simulator' Games

Owlchemy Labs, the VR studio owned by Google, has announced that it will be bringing its popular VR games Job Simulator (2016) and Vacation Simulator (2019) to Apple Vision Pro.

Both games have had immense success, with over a million downloads across all major VR headsets. Job Simulator has remained popular since its launch in 2016, regularly appearing in the top VR game charts. Both games are family-friendly and offer a fun, room-scale VR experience that is easy for beginners to pick up.

Pricing and Free Content Updates

Job Simulator will be priced at $20, while Vacation Simulator will be priced at $30 on Vision Pro. Both games will also include their respective free content updates.

The exact release date for the games on Vision Pro has not been announced, but Owlchemy Labs has stated that they will be coming 'soon.'

Adapting to Apple Vision Pro

Both Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator were originally designed for VR motion controllers, which Vision Pro does not have. Developers have been faced with the challenge of adapting their VR titles to Apple's controllerless XR platform.

It is likely that Owlchemy Labs has adapted both games to use the hand-tracking capabilities of Vision Pro. This will be interesting to see, as the games heavily rely on object interaction. It will also be worth watching to see if other VR studios follow suit in catering to a platform that prioritizes casual content consumption and productivity apps over immersive gaming.
