NASCAR star Ryan Blaney's massive wreck at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway was a pivotal moment captured in a new episode of the Netflix documentary series "NASCAR: Full Speed".

During the episode, Blaney and his fiancée Gianna Tulio discussed the incident, recalling their emotions while watching it unfold at home. Tulio admitted to feeling frozen and unsure of what to think at first, anxiously waiting to hear Blaney's voice on the radio to assure his safety.

The Crash and its Impact on Blaney

During the race, Blaney was hit by Ty Gibbs in the No. 54 car, causing him to crash into the wall head-on. The wreck involved a total of 16 cars. In the episode, Blaney shared his experience of the accident, describing the sudden impact and the moments it took to catch his breath and gather himself.

Tulio added that she could tell Blaney was visibly shaken and out of breath after the crash. However, Blaney also expressed gratitude for the safety innovations in NASCAR over the years, mentioning that they constantly think about improving the safety of race cars.
