Layne Riggs to Compete Full-Time in NASCAR Truck Series with FRM
Layne Riggs has signed a multi-year deal with Front Row Motorsports (FRM) to compete full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series.
Riggs' Journey in NASCAR
Layne Riggs, 21, made his debut in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2022 and achieved a seventh-place finish in his first race.
Since then, he has competed in five more Truck races, with his highest finish being third at IRP earlier this year.
Riggs also made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2023, running three races with Kaulig Racing and achieving a tenth-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Riggs' Career Highlights
Prior to his NASCAR career, Riggs had a successful run in the CARS Late Model Tour, where he secured six victories.
Now, Riggs will step into the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford, previously driven by Zane Smith who has moved up to the Cup Series.
Smith achieved six wins for FRM and won the NASCAR Truck Series championship in 2022.
Riggs' Gratitude and Family Ties
Expressing his gratitude, Riggs stated, 'I’m really thankful for this opportunity to compete full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series with one of the best teams in the sport.'
Riggs comes from a racing family, with his father, Scott Riggs, being a former NASCAR driver who competed in over 200 Cup races and achieved wins in both the Xfinity and Truck Series.
Front Row Motorsports owner, Bob Jenkins, commented on Riggs' potential and stated, 'We’ve already seen a lot of potential in Layne and he’s a perfect fit for our program to develop him into a national series NASCAR winner.'
