Marco Andretti's Racing Plans
Marco Andretti has announced his racing plans for the upcoming season. He will be participating in a combination of ARCA Menards Series and Craftsman Truck Series races. Andretti will be driving for Cook Racing Technologies in these races.
For the ARCA Menards Series, Andretti will be racing in the No. 17 Chevrolet. His first race in this series will be at Daytona International Speedway on February 17th. This will mark his debut in the series.
In addition to the ARCA races, Andretti will also be competing in the Craftsman Truck Series. He will be driving the No. 04 Chevrolet. His first race in this series will be at Circuit of The Americas on March 23rd.
Crew Chief and Support
NASCAR veteran Bruce Cook will be serving as Andretti's crew chief for these races. Cook has an impressive resume, with one win in the Xfinity Series and experience working with top drivers such as Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, and Ross Chastain. He has also worked in the Truck Series, earning six wins in 104 starts.
Andretti expressed his satisfaction with the racing program they have put together for the season. He believes it will provide him with maximum track time and help him gain experience in stock cars. Andretti acknowledges the talent in the various stock car series and wants to work his way up by proving himself in each series.
Both Andretti and Cook are confident in their ability to be competitive right from the start. Andretti had a successful stint in the Truck Series last season, and Cook believes that with more seat time and guidance, Andretti will be able to consistently compete at the front of the pack.
Previous Experience and Future Goals
Andretti made his NASCAR national series debut in 2022 in the Xfinity Series. He also made three starts in the Truck Series last season with Spire Motorsports, achieving two top-20 finishes.
Andretti is excited to work with Cook and continue his development and growth as a driver in stock cars. He believes that with his track record in multiple racing platforms and further experience in the stock car world, he will be able to compete up front on a regular basis.
