David Sutton Studios is partnering with the Evanston Animal Shelter to host a Picture Day event in December. The event aims to collect food and new or gently used pet essentials for the shelter's community pantry.
David Sutton, the renowned pet photographer, is celebrating his 30th anniversary by giving back to the community. He believes that pets play a vital role in supporting people through challenging times and wants to help prevent heartbreak in the local community.
The Evanston Animal Shelter is both an adoption center and a pet food pantry. Its mission is to provide companion animals with the best possible care and find them loving homes. Currently operating out of temporary facilities, the shelter is working towards opening a new facility in 2024.
How 'Picture Day' Works
To participate in Picture Day, interested individuals can call 847-679-8090 to sign up for a mini-session. Each session can accommodate one person with one dog and will be held on December 14th and 16th at David Sutton Studios in Evanston.
On the day of the session, participants are requested to bring their donation of unopened pet food or gently used collars, harnesses, toys, or blankets to the studio. In return for their donation, participants will receive a curated, print-quality photo delivered electronically.
Additionally, all donors will be entered into a draw for a chance to win $600 towards a full Sutton Studios portrait experience. This personalized experience includes a discovery process, a full photo session, and a cinematic design consultation.
Supporting Animals and Their Owners
The Evanston Animal Shelter's community pantry provides support to pet owners experiencing long-term financial hardship. The pantry helps meet the needs of over 100 pet owners each month, including providing food, clothing, and other essentials for their animals.
