Shake Milton to Join the New York Knicks
According to sources, Shake Milton intends to sign with the New York Knicks after clearing waivers. Milton reached a buyout agreement with the Detroit Pistons and will be eligible to join the Knicks' playoff roster.
The Knicks, who have been dealing with several injuries this season, will benefit from adding Milton to their backcourt depth. With starters OG Anunoby, Julius Randle, and Mitchell Robinson currently sidelined, the team has been lacking guard options. The trade that sent backup point guard Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors further exacerbated this issue.
Shake Milton started the season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 4.7 points in 12.9 minutes per game. He was later traded to the Pistons but only appeared in four games. Known for his scoring ability off the bench, Milton played five seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he averaged nearly 10 points per game in his final three seasons. He signed a two-year deal, with a team option in the second year, with the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer.
