Spire Motorsports has officially signed Chase Purdy to drive for the team in the upcoming 2024 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) season. Purdy will be behind the wheel of the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado and will work closely with veteran race engineer and crew chief Jason Trinchere.

This partnership marks Spire Motorsports' return to the NCTS championship effort after competing in select events for the past two years. The team believes that pairing Purdy with Trinchere will enhance his competitiveness and elevate the performance of the No. 77 team.

Doug Duchardt, President of Spire Motorsports, expressed his confidence in the new driver-crew chief combination, stating that they expect to set a high standard in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Purdy's Racing Background and Expectations

Chase Purdy, at the age of 24, has already made a name for himself in the NCTS. He began his career in 2018 and has since had 75 starts, including finishing 11th in points last season. Purdy achieved this result while driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, earning two poles, three top-five finishes, and 11 top-10 finishes.

Purdy expressed his excitement about joining Spire Motorsports and the opportunity to work with a team that has proven success in the past. He is determined to continue the momentum from last year and is eager to start the new season.

With his experience and the support of the team, Purdy aims to make a strong impression in the 2024 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Trinchere's Impressive Engineering Career

Jason Trinchere, the crew chief for Chase Purdy and the No. 77 team, brings a wealth of experience to the table. Graduating from the Pennsylvania State University with a mechanical engineering degree in 2005, Trinchere started his professional career as a race engineer for the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing NCTS team.

In his career, Trinchere has worked with notable drivers and teams, including Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and Penske Racing. He played a significant role in Joey Logano's 2018 Cup Series championship with Penske Racing. Trinchere has contributed to numerous wins and has extensive knowledge of chassis design and race engineering.

Trinchere is excited about the upcoming season and looks forward to working with Chase Purdy and the entire Spire Motorsports team, aiming to build on their momentum and achieve success in the NCTS.
