New Design Features

The newly unveiled Toyota Camry XSE race car for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series boasts several new design features. It has a new front fascia and upper grille slot, along with new character lines and duct exits on the hood. The larger lower grille area features C-shaped corner vents, while the front headlights are slimmer and wider and the taillights are thinner. Overall, the design of the race car replicates that of the 2025 Toyota Camry XSE production car.

Paul Doleshal, group manager of motorsports at Toyota North America, emphasized the attention to detail in the new race car, which reflects the quality showcased in the street version of the Toyota Camry. Doleshal expressed excitement about bringing the car to the racetrack and achieving continued success with it.

The production of the 2024 Camry XSE race car involved significant effort from TRD and Calty Design, and Toyota is grateful for their contributions in creating a premier vehicle for their team partners to compete for wins and championships.

Toyota's Cup Series Teams

Toyota will have eight Cup Series teams in the upcoming season. Legacy Motor Club's two-car organization, featuring Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek, will be joining the Toyota stable. Joe Gibbs Racing will continue with their four teams, consisting of Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Martin Truex Jr., and Ty Gibbs. Additionally, 23XI Racing will have two teams, with Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.

Last season, Toyota won 10 races, and the brand is looking forward to the 2024 season. David Wilson, TRD president, highlighted Toyota's commitment to continuous improvement and their goal of optimizing the performance of the newly-designed Camry race car. Wilson expressed excitement about working closely with their race team partners to maintain Toyota's legacy of leading laps, winning races, and competing for championships.

Among the manufacturers in the Cup Series, Toyota and Ford will have new body styles for the upcoming season. Chevrolet, on the other hand, has chosen not to update its body and is currently deciding on its next brand for competition.
