Injury Report: Four Pelicans out, Jose Alvarado questionable for Chicago game
New Orleans will be playing without a few of its key components Saturday, when it tries to post a third straight victory, visiting Chicago at 7 p.m.
New Orleans Injuries
Four Pelicans players are officially listed as out for the game against Chicago. CJ McCollum (rest), Trey Murphy (rest), Larry Nance Jr. (right rib fracture), and Matt Ryan (right elbow soreness) will not be playing. Jose Alvarado (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable.
McCollum will rejoin the team in Sacramento after being cleared to air travel for Sunday. Murphy made his season debut in the previous game against San Antonio.
Zion Williamson's Status
Zion Williamson is not included in Saturday's injury report. Coach Willie Green mentioned before the previous game that Williamson might play in both halves of a back-to-back for the first time this season. This game against Chicago marks the fourth back-to-back for the New Orleans Pelicans this season.
Chicago's Injuries
For Chicago, starters Zach LaVine (right foot soreness) and Lonzo Ball (left knee surgery) will be out. DeMar DeRozan (left ankle sprain) is listed as questionable. Justin Lewis (G League two-way), Adama Sanogo (G League two-way), and Onuralp Bitim (illness) will not be playing.
